Local SEO for small service businesses

Help nearby customers understand what you offer and how to contact you. Start with an honest diagnosis of the website, then invest in the pages and improvements that fit your business.

Not indexed, or just not ranking? They are different problems.

A page can be accessible and indexed without attracting enquiries. Before prescribing more posts, we inspect important URLs and review the available Search Console data. That separates an access problem from a content, relevance or demand problem.

An early report should state what was checked, what the data actually says and where access is still missing. A low-traffic website does not need an invented forecast; it needs a clear baseline and an ordered set of changes.

Build pages around real services—not every keyword variation

We organise the site around distinct services and useful customer questions. A service-area page should add meaningful information about where and how the business operates, not just replace the city name in a template.

The scope can include titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, canonical URLs and a sitemap. Content work then explains the business clearly and gives visitors an appropriate route to call or request a quote.

Keep business information genuine and consistent

Business profiles and website details should agree about the name, contact information and services. Reviews should come from real customers and reflect their own experience.

Google Business Profile work is appropriate only for an eligible business. Qualifying in-person customer contact matters; an online-only business should not create a fictitious office to obtain a local listing. We check eligibility before adding profile work to the scope.

Separate launch foundations from ongoing work

Picshaw's website packages include SEO foundations. Ongoing local SEO may require new content, improvements to existing pages, profile maintenance and review of results. The published Monthly Partner option starts at $500 per month; the actual work is confirmed in a proposal.

We recommend judging the programme by relevant search visits, completed enquiries and qualified conversations. Ranking screenshots and traffic totals are supporting information, not proof of new customers.

Questions before you start

Can you promise the first position in my city?

No. Rankings depend on the query, competition and the search system. We agree the work and measurement, not a guaranteed position.

Should I create a page for every neighbourhood?

Only where there is genuinely useful, distinct information. We do not recommend a large set of near-identical location pages just to capture keyword variations.

Do I need to replace my whole website?

Not necessarily. The review may identify fixes that can be made on your current site. A redesign should solve a real problem, not be the default recommendation.
